HAVE-A-GO at Archery @ Towcestrians Sports Club from 12:30 on Sunday 14th July!
Come along and test your archery skills from 12:30 onwards at the Dawn til Dusk Challenge event in aid of Cancer Research UK, hosted by Towcester Archers and Northamptonshire County Archery Society.
Just turn up on the day, no need to book. It’s free to have a go with CASH donations very welcome on the day!

We are a new target archery club formed in the summer of 2020.
During the current outdoor season from April to the end of September, we are based at Towcestrians Sports Club.
We have three club sessions per week:
Sunday 14:30 til 17:50
Monday & Friday 17:30 til Dark
Times and week day evenings will change in May.
During the current indoor season from October to March we have our club sessions in the main sports hall at Towcester Centre for Leisure.
We have two club sessions per week:
Sunday 16:15 til 19:00
Thurday 19:30 til 21:30
Visiting archers (current members of Archer GB) are welcome to shoot with us, the cost is £4 per session. Please get in touch so we can book you a slot.
During the outdoor season from April til September, we are based at Towcestrians Sports Club. Session days and times for 2024 are yet to be confirmed.
Archery is an active, inclusive and accessible sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family. We would love Towcester Archers to continue to grow as a fun and sociable club. We encourage personal enjoyment in the sport first and foremost, along with personal progression and friendly competition.
Very few sports are as diverse as Archery. Whether your aim is to compete in tournaments, or to simply shoot a few arrows to relax after a busy week, Archery can be as serious or relaxed as you like.
The club is made up of members shooting several bow styles. The main ones being – Olympic style Recurve, Recurve barebow, Compound, and traditional bow styles such as Longbow or Flatbow. The club has shooting equipment available for new members to either loan or hire for a very small fee, until ready to buy their own equipment.
New archers will need to have completed an archery beginners course before being able to join the club to shoot. Course information including any confirmed dates can be found here: https://towcesterarchers.co.uk/beginners-courses/
We also run taster sessions throughout the year, keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for those.
Another local club Wicken Archery Club shoot at Wicken Sports Field during the summer months, and at Silverstone SRA and also Akeley Wood School during the winter.
