Good news, the club will start shooting first week of August!
Since our last update, we’ve made the decision to find a temporary location away from Towcestrians, to get the club started during this current outdoor season. We have now found a location at Dadford Road Campsite, near to Silverstone Circuit. We can use this venue for as long as we need to, going into next spring/summer if need be. This gives us a great chance to get the club up and running and somewhat established before the time comes for us to move across to Tows once the ground works there are complete.
If the club equipment that we have ordered arrives in time, fingers crossed the first session will be this coming Sunday 2nd August from 10am. If the targets don’t arrive, then the first session should instead be on Wednesday 5th August from 6pm.
Membership application forms are available from today for anyone wishing to join the club for the remainder of the summer period until the end of September. Currently we are taking on members who;
(a) have completed a beginners course but are not currently members of another club or of Archery GB (we would need to see proof of your beginners course certificate)
(b) are archers without current AGB membership, wishing to return to the sport*
(c) have their own shooting equipment.

Any current archers (with Archery GB membership) who are interested in joining or shooting with Towcester Archers, we are inviting you to come along and shoot with us for free (or for a small donation if they insist) for the remainder of the outdoor season. For anyone wanting to get into archery and do a beginners course, we are planning to hold our first course starting late August or early September. More information to follow very soon.
